Smocked Shortall Jon Jon -Noah's Ark
Noah's Ark is a favorite smocked design for many boutique creations such as Petit Ami, Vive la Fete, Silly Goose, Sir John, Friedknit Creations. You can find new Noah's Ark smocked Jon Jons and smocked dresses or used almost any week. Everyone likes to buy new smocked clothes, of course, but there is a great advantage for buying used smocked clothing and that is the low prices. I routinely find used smocked dresses listed at $10 and sometimes for less. These are boutique brand dresses and a very gently used, sometimes only worn for one occasion. Always read the description carefully, to learn if there are any flaws or stains that you should know about before committing to purchase.
Here is a selection of Noah's Ark smocked clothing that is available today:

What a Cutie!
I love this brown smocked Castles and Crowns dress (size 24months). The dress has bright yellow giraffes smocked around the neck. I great dress for fall. This dress was up for auction on eBay the week of August 11. It may be sold by now, but take a look at your child's size in the sidebar and you are bound to find many lovely dresses for sale today. The seller's little girl wore brown bows and gold shoes which turned out to be so cute. Yellow bows would look great, too, because they would pick up the color of the bright yellow giraffes.

Sisters Wearing Smocked Outfits
MODELED BY LITTLE GIRLS
Vive La Fete for RagsLand
The baby girl is wearing a smocked bubble from the Vive La Fete for RagsLand in the size 12 months. This is a precious bubble for the hot days of summer. It is a red and white check seersucker bubble with criss cross straps in back. The smocking design is of ocean life and seahorses on the front.
Her sister is wearing a red and white gingham seersucker shorts set tha has straps that criss- cross in the back. Just like her sisters, there are seahorses and ocean life smocked on the pleated insert.
I love the accessories Big Sister is wearing: polka dot sandels, red fingernail polish!, and a big red bow. It's so much fun being a girl!
Both of these smocked outfits are at auction today. Check through the Vive La Fete listings to see if they are still available. If not, Vive La Fete has many other precious smocked clothing to choose from.

Lavender Easter Dress with Geometric Smocking
|
Today was the first really spring like day that we have had this year and I'm loving it! There are only a few more weeks to Easter and I am craving pastel colors and new flowers for my flower beds.
This little angel sleeved bishop dress is a great style for warm and hot weather. The bishop style is perfect for babies, toddlers, and little girls. They all look better in a dress without a waistline.
The smocking design on this dress is geometric, but it incorporates hearts and flowers.

If you love smocked clothes for your little children, then I invite you to take some time and browse the categories in our shop. You can look at the size for boy or girl or browse by boutique brands like Anavini and Amanda Remembered. See sidebar at right------>>>>
Did you know that smocked clothing is some of the most comfortable clothing available? The smocking bring elasticity to the garment so that it stretches with the child.
Start the warmer season off with some special Easter clothing to wear for a very meaningful holiday. May your family have a great Easter holiday and a fun Easter Egg Hunt for the children!

The Believe Line from Castles and Crowns is a perfect match for Easter Sunday wear. The delicate smocked design portrays three empty crosses symbolizing the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the true meaning of Easter and the new Easter dress symbolizes the new life in Christ.

Smocked Easter Shortalls
The three crosses have pale yellow details inside of them and there is a vine connecting the crosses. Delicate White piping frames the smocking insert. Shortall buttons with two small clear buttons at each shoulder. The shortall snaps at crotch and down legs for easy diaper change.
There are some smocked clothes of this design available on our eBay auctions today(click first link above) when I checked or you can check here at Castles and Crowns. Also, there is a link at the bottom of this post to the Castles and Crowns website if you prefer to buy retail.

Smocked Easter Flower Dress
Smocked designs on Easter dresses include smocked Easter Bunnies, smocked Easter Baskets, and smocked flowers like the beautiful green gingham dress shown above. This simple flower design in green and yellow is the perfect compliment to this pastel green bishop dress. Notice the subtle green blue embroidery thread used to outline the pleated area. The color adds just enough complimentary hue to cause the flower design to stand out brightly.
As you can surmise, I think smocking is a beautiful art form. It deserves to have this whole website showing examples of the creativity of smocking art. Smocking designs and practical use has evolved to be especially suitable for children's clothing and comfort.
A dress like this will be perfect for Easter Sunday, but it is also a great dress for any Sunday through the spring and summer months. Smocked Easter dresses can be worn for any special occasion like a birthday party or family portraits, or even a wedding.
The smocked bishop dress is the all time favorite, but dresses with smocked inserts are equally appealing.
